This is it. My first blog. Well, technically it isn’t my first. There’s probably one or two previous attempts floating around out there in cyberspace.
I hope that doesn’t come back to bite me on the…anyway.
Where was I? Oh yes, my first blog. As I write this, I’m not sure what I’m going to say, who I’m going to say it to and whether anyone would be interested in what I had to say? In my research about ‘blogging’, and I’m sure it’s evident that I didn’t do much of that, I read that it’s likely that no one will read your first blog!!

That being said, I’m going to
“Feel the fear and do it anyway!”
― Susan Jeffers
Ok, maybe it’s not of the same scale as jumping out of a plane but we’ve all got to start somewhere. So what if no one reads it? At least I’ll be able to say I did it. I’d call that a small win.
It’s always going to be a bit daunting when you try something for the first time. Like me starting my Virtual Assistant business, Digi Desk. What was I thinking? Starting a business at my age? Yes, some might say 45 is getting on a bit. But that’s exactly why I felt I had to do it, and now more than ever. I’ve worked in an office ever since I was 18. That’s a lot of years sitting at a desk and getting nowhere. Eat, sleep, work, repeat. That’s just not good enough anymore. Time for something new. There’s a quote I heard many years ago
“Find a job you enjoy doing, and you will never have to work a day in your life.”
― Mark Twain
That, for me, is the ultimate goal. So here I am bossing this VA business. No idea where this will take me or what the future has in store but I’m certainly not going to let the fear of the unknown keep me from trying.
And there you have it, the first blog done!
